Conquest Equestrian Centre is a leading Somerset charity dedicated to providing a range of equine activities for adults and children with a wide range of disabilities. We are open six days a week following academic term times, offering coaching for disabled and able-bodied clients. All our activities are supervised by trained coaches who in turn are supported by a team of volunteers. Our core activities include riding, carriage driving, horse care, back-riding and sensory work. We aim to provide either group or private sessions as appropriate.
During school holidays the Centre hosts special events that we are unable to offer at other times. These include clinics, stable days, training days, sensory and back riding days.
The Centre was purpose built and has been modernised and improved as the charity has expanded to ensure that we provide the best facilities possible for our clients.
If you would like to find out more about us and the services we provided please browse through the website, alternatively please call us at Conquest and we will be happy to help.
Conquest Equestrian Centre is an RDA Accessibility Marked Centre.
The Accessibility Mark is a Sport England funded project, developed by Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) in partnership with Hoof, the British Equestrian Federation’s (BEF) legacy programme. The project aims to get more riding centres, schools and clubs accredited, in order to increase availability of horse related activities for the disabled community.
The Conquest Centre is also a BHS approved yard and an NVQ Training Centre.
