The Staff

Jess has worked at Conquest for 11 years starting out on the Yard. She is now the Centre Manager and is in charge of overseeing everything that happens at Conquest.

Charlotte has been at Conquest for 8 years and is in charge of everything that happens in the yard, from buying new horses to ensuring that the poo is picked up off the field.

Imogen has been at Conquest for X years, and apart from being a disabled and abled-bodied riding instructor also works with all the instructors at Conquest to help with their instructing and to get the best out of the riders and horses.

Imogen has the following qualifications: RDA Gi, BHS Stage 2, EAGALA Part 1, Certificate of Riding for the Disabled Association Volunteer Training (riding), Equine Touch Level 3, Parelli Level 1 Partnership Graduate, Equine Touch Advanced Seminar, BHS Riding and Road Safety Certificate.

Chantal began at Conquest as a volunteer and soon trained to become a RDA instructor. With Chantal's knowledge in computing Chantal also manages the administration side of the Centre and ensures that all things computing runs perfectly.

Chantal has the following qualifications: RDA GI, NVQ - Horse Care, Horse Boy Method Training

Russell has been with Conquest for 5 years and is an important part of the team. Russell ensures that the horses are ready for each lesson and that the yard and grounds are impeccably maintained. You can often see Russell on his tractor ensuring the fields are maintained for the horses.

Sophie is part of the team helping getting the horses ready for the many lessons held during the week. Sophie has also trained as an RDA instructor and joins the team of instructors we have to provide all the RDA sessions that we run.

Sophie has the following qualifications: RDA GI, NVQ Level 1 Horse Care

Jenny Whitehouse

Instructor

Jenny has recently returned to Conquest after her maternity level to run the Saturday riding lessons. She has jumped straight back into the role, progressing the riders on enormously in the short time that she has been back.

Jenny has the following qualifications: BHSA 1, RDA GI, UKCC Level 2

Karen is not only one of the Centre instructors for disabled and able-bodied riders, but she also helps run the Pony Club program that we have at Conquest.

Karen has the following qualifications: BHS Stage II , RDA GI, II

Victoria Philips,

Instructor

Vicky is the newest member of the team at Conquest, she joins us to provide able-bodied riding on a Sunday and is currently training to provide RDA instruction on Thursdays. She has already fitted in perfectly at Conquest and is brining new and exciting ideas.

Vicky has the following qualifications: BHS Stage 3 Knowledge and Care, BHS Stage 2 Riding, BHS Preliminary Teaching Certificate UK Coaching Certificate and BHS Riding and Road Safety.

Mel Channing,

Groom

Mel is the youngest member of our team, joining us 5 years ago as a volunteer and then becoming staff 1 1/2 years ago and has shown that she is more than capable of looking after the yard. Mel is responsible for all yard activities from bringing in the horses in the morning and ensuring the horses are ready on time for the lessons.

Mel has the following qualifications: Diploma in Horse Management, BHS Riding and Road Safety Certificate, working towards BHS Stage 1.
