The Team
At conquest there are two very important teams that make Conquest the success that it is. The humans who run and maintain the centre and the horses without which none of the good work is achievable. The humans come in two forms, there is the staff who carry out a wide range of roles at Conquest from instructing to mucking out the horse pooh and the volunteers who give up their time and energy to provide the invaluable support to the staff. The staff are the humans that are employed by Conquest and whose role is crucial to the smooth running of the centre, the volunteer humans have the very important role of providing the required support that disabled riding lessons require and without which many of the sessions simply would not be possible.
The horses provide the other side to life at Conquest, without the right horses it would be impossible for Conquest to provide the level of service that they aim for. It is having the right horse whose temperament is such that they can cope with sometimes difficult situations and who can make any rider smile and the horses at Conquest definitely provide that. They each have their own character, from Brambles who is well known for going at his own pace, to Daisy who is quietly majestic as she walks her rider around the arena.
