Annabelle Knight

Secretary

Annabelle first became aware of Conquest when her granddaughter started riding. She thought it would be a good place for her to learn as the horses would be well trained and the money she paid for the ride would go to help disabled riders. Sadly, the Centre closed for six months with Strangles a few months later. When riding commenced the centre was desperate for volunteers so she agreed to do a day a week. Annabelle then joined the board and became Secretary and is heavily involved with the centre and work in the office. Annabelle feels that the Centre provides so many disabled people with an opportunity to achieve something for themselves whilst interacting with the horses and she is pleased to be a part of it.

David Hardy,

Treasurer

David has been involved with the Conquest Centre for many years helping his step-daughter Jess Dixon with the fund raising events. He joined the board of trustees in September 2008, feeling that he wanted to do more to help in the running of the Centre and continuing to provide the high level of service to disabled riders. David brings a wealth of business knowledge working in the Electronic industry and running a small distribution company. He is now the treasurer for the Centre and ensures that all monies are spent wisely and continue to develop the Centre.

Chris Hampden

Maintenance and Promotions

Christopher became a volunteer at Conquest 11 years ago and has been a Trustee for 3 years. His architectural background has been useful in the many aspects of maintenance, but more recently he has embarked with the Centre Manager on a full ongoing programme of events to promote awareness of and assist fund-raising for the Centre. The benefits that Conquest can bring to our disabled riders has always been a revelation, and does not decrease with over familiarity. With a young energetic team on the Yard and a very professional Board successfully embracing all aspects of management, this is a very happy and fulfilling place to be, and he feels honoured to be associated even in a small way with their joint success.

Lois Kerrison

IT and Website Advisor

Lois has been involved with the Conquest Centre for just over a year, after she moved from Surrey to Somerset in October 2009. Her involvement began with her daughters riding lessons and then her own and she then felt that she wanted to give something back to Conquest, so decided to train as a volunteer. Having worked in the computer industry for many years and being involved in a successful software company as the Global Training Manager, she was asked if she could bring some of that knowledge to help with the running of the Centre and join the board. Seeing the faces of the people that get so much rom riding is all the incentive she needs to help with this worth while charity.
