Volunteers form the backbone of the charity and it would struggle to operate successfully without it’s wonderful and loyal volunteers.
It is by keeping core staff numbers to a minimum that the charity is able to manage it’s finances, keep the cashflow healthy and the clients safe.
There are a vast number of volunteering opportunities available from helping to care for the animals to supporting the office staff with administrative work, Trustee roles or greeting visitors when they arrive.
We are also always happy to have help with poo picking the horse paddocks and for ‘handy people’ to come and help with some of the heavier jobs and to keep on top of the maintenance and upkeep of the site too.
If you are interested in volunteering with Conquest Centre then please either email to info@conquestcentre.org.uk or phone the office on 01823 433614 to receive information about volunteer vacancies and how to apply.
For the volunteering roles involving side walking next to the horses or animal care of all the species, as a general rule of thumb one of the key criteria is that the applicant has some background in working with animals or farming. Please feel free to phone the office for an informal chat with the Volunteer Co-ordinator if you would like more information.
All volunteers are required to go through the DBS safeguarding online check and attend health and safety training on site.
